The museum is rather busy most times of the day and it's best to see at your own pace as the guided tour does go rather fast through here. The place does have some interesting artworks and some interesting stories to tell.

We went to the Vatican Museum having been to St Peter's first. Was really busy and there are lots of artefacts to see across the different rooms and collections so I'd recommend a separate visit to make the most of it. Also get fast track tickets unless leaving early. The entire museum is a work of art and really captures...

Had no idea just how vast it is. One visit only scratches the surface of the treasures. Hugely busy, so book in advance or you'll be queueing for hours. Magnificent.

This is one of the most impressive museums I have ever been to. The collection is vast and the building itself is absolutely stunning. We booked an amazing tour package which I would recommend to anyone. It was the 'early access' ticket booker through viatour. We met with our guide at 7am and entered the building as it was still...

The vatican museums were quite amazing (this was my 2nd visit and better the 2nd time around). Important Advice: If you do not have skip-the -line tickets, individual ticket holders will waste precious touring hours waiting on line. We arrived early AM and our tour guide entered the museums immediately. The average tour was about 3 hours.

Do not really have the words to describe the Vatican museums! Came as part of a tour so didn't see everything, however what we did see was magnificent!

First, set up a private tour before you arrive. Long wait otherwise. Huge crowds may not move as quickly as you would like. But the artwork is amazing from ancient Greece and Rome though today. Then out to St Peters and all the splendor. Great books available after the tour.

My husband and I enjoyed a tour with City Wonders Rome to the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica. Vincenzo our tour guide was friendly, and informative. This is our third tour with City Wonders. We thoroughly enjoyed each tour, City Wonders Tour Guides Katrina in Paris, Anna and Vincenzo in Rome, thank you.

Be sure to get your ticket ahead of time online, that will save you from waiting in long lines. You'll have to pass through the entire museum (it's worth it though) to finally get to the chapel. Inside the chapel the guards behave like army sergeants... It is an absolute horror ! You stand in awe when, suddenly, a very...

When visiting Vatican City, attractions like St. Peter's Basilica, the Museum and the Sistine Chapel should not be missed out. I spent two hours in the Museum (and more than half an hour in the Chapel) although I am not a fan of renaissance art. The paintings in the Stanze di Raffaello were amazing – especially the harmony of colours....
